Ketchup

Refuse to be censored
Gags are overbearing bastards.
Show off your good bits –
your hour-glass God-given figure.

Care less about what others think –
thigh-high slits, plunging necklines, curve-hugging.
Team brave colours with an off-shoulder;
fit is everything, colour is courage.

Don’t hide your light under a bushel
of false modesty or a less sexy appeal
but trim your waist-cinching frock
with bold lacy n’ gorgeous fabrics.

Be brave in novel ways
if it makes you come alive
experiment with outlandish jewelry,
Vogue is onto something bizarre.

Above all, remember outfits
shouldn’t outshine the wearer
nor hurt Modesty’s fragile feelings;
do well to avoid a malfunction

None of us is perfect,
my imperfections, as well as yours,
are so easy to notice. Let not
your personality or spirit be bottled.

You’re not ketchup.
