Family, Sex & Sexuality | Poems

Hello

I wish I had known better
at tender years,
we laughed together didn’t mean
we laughed for the same reason.
I have paid the price –
so many unseen tears, many wet pillows
altho’ both are born to unlike clime:
Men n’ Women, Love n’ Deceit
I have promised myself
I’ll not ask where, or in whose arms
you were before homecoming.
I’ll only say “Hello,” and not grudge –
silence learned at Love’s expense;
I will not declare a jihad, my dear, Love is a tyrant!
