Nature, Love & Poetry

Blessed Queen

“The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished.”
― Deng Ming-Dao, Everyday Tao: Living with Balance and Harmony

O steadfast glowing Queen!
As you outshine all stars
Another day of little worth
To some yet very dear to many
Is again about to die.

Look down tonight and pace
Over our clime in glamour
Thro’ Morn’s eyes will sit starring
Vainly at your bright rays
Like an owl at midday.

Appear again, grace tonight
With songs of godly joy
More radiant than love.
Walk tonight away while
Nearly full, O blesses Queen!
