Beyond Harmattan

Beyond Harmattan’s cold in December
If we had an evening to spend – alone
Would we enjoy bottles of Laughter’s wine,
You weaving me into your arms, I in your bosom?
Would you savor my lips with your velvet pout
as I taste ‘ts raw candy?

Beyond Time’s senseless mischief
If Life’s vagaries throws a whim
I lose my health & wealth, my beauty & booty
Would your gaze still look into
my eyes with fidelity and tell me
mine are jewels an emerald would be jealous of?
