2 am

2 am; wild awake, in this vast house
possessed with echoes, I can hear still
your words in the stillness of the night.

On this empty bed loneliness now dwell
where you took my innocence, I now
recount our affair – loud and fierce.

Shame, at this unholy hour, I’m ready
to take a plunge into the realm of ecstasy, but
I’m earth-bound without you – uptight.

Come let’s have joy; let’s Bliss exhaust
in ways, only Love can fulfill
before Dusk’s unseen fingers seize the skylight.

  1. In an attempt to seek approval from others, lonely people often use sex as a means for filling a void in their lives, but when a person settles for mere companionship alone, that individual eliminates liking and love. As soon as you sleep with someone, things fall apart on a deeper level – Loneliness becomes lonelier. The most devastating experience for an already lonely person is to find that they have been “used.” In the eyes of the “other,” they were not a person at all, but a sex toy.
An old cliche says: “Good things come to those who wait.” May Love find us all.
